We recently welcomed staff, board members, and supporters for our second Friendraiser event at the Just Strategies Hub. It was a great way to celebrate Black History Month, Valentine’s Day, and our shared commitment to Philadelphia’s youth.

The evening was a mix of fun and inspiration. While guests stayed busy decorating cookies shaped like hearts, the African continent, and raised fists, the conversations kept coming back to the heart of our mission: how professional mentoring works to break the cycle of poverty in our communities.

A definite highlight was watching Fatimah*, one of the children in our program, step up as the evening’s official cookie judge. It was wonderful to see her take charge and confidently make her way around the room to pick the winning designs.

A huge thank you to Dr. Sendy Alcidonis for hosting and to the board members, community leaders, Friends, and supporters who joined us. Your generosity ensures that children in our program have long-term mentors and the support they need to thrive.
