Summer Camps Spark Joy, Growth, and Connection
This summer, our youth have had the chance to explore, play, and connect thanks to the generosity of our community partners and supporters. Summer can be a critical time for young people, especially those facing systemic obstacles. Opportunities to stay engaged and build confidence are vital.
Thanks to North 10, many of our youth participated in enriching camp experiences at Camp Linden and enjoyed high-energy outings at Sky Zone, where they could run, jump, and laugh alongside peers and mentors. The consistent partnership with North 10 makes a big impact, offering access to weekly programming that supports both physical health and social-emotional development.
Youth also took part in school-based camps hosted by William D. Kelley and Bayard Taylor Elementary Schools, where they were welcomed into familiar, supportive environments. These camps provided structured activities and meaningful opportunities to continue learning through the summer months.
Our professional mentors were right there with them. Joining field trips, encouraging new friendships, and helping kids navigate new experiences. Whether it was cooling off in the pool, discovering a new talent, or simply sharing a meal with new friends, these summer memories will stick with them for a long time.
