Celebrating Our Youngest Graduates

Earlier this month, our first cohort of youth reached a major milestone: kindergarten graduation. We’re thrilled to celebrate each and every one of them as they take this exciting next step in their educational journey.

Since joining our program in January, these bright and curious young people have each been paired with a professional mentor—a consistent, caring adult who shows up week after week. These relationships are still new, but already meaningful, laying the foundation for trust, stability, and long-term success.

Our mentors were proud to show up in person and cheer on their youth. Ms. Tanya and Mr. Justin joined Derrick, Marcus, Fatimah, Brandon, and Laila at their schools to celebrate their accomplishments. Mr. Justin brought balloons and cards for each of his youth. Ms. Tanya, showing her deep commitment, attended on her day off to let her mentees know she believes in them.

Graduation is more than a moment. It’s a reflection of what’s possible when a child is supported and celebrated. And it’s just the beginning. Our mentors will continue walking alongside these graduates as they head into first grade and beyond, helping them build on the strengths they’ve already begun to discover.
