March 31, 2025 Building Community Over Pizza Our First Celebration at William D. Kelley Strong relationships are the foundation for success—not just between youth and mentors, but among families, schools, and the broader community. That’s why we were thrilled to host our first pizza party at William D. Kelley, bringing together youth, caregivers, and school staff for an evening of food, fun, and connection. The event was filled with laughter as children enjoyed pizza alongside their mentors, parents, and peers. It wasn’t just about sharing a meal—it was about strengthening the bonds that make our program so special. Each child received a small gift, adding to the joy of the occasion, while parents had the opportunity to meet and engage with our team in a relaxed setting. Our Program Director, Ms. Naimah, along with our dedicated Friends, Mr. Kevin and Ms. Tanya, had the chance to connect with caregivers who are eager to see their children thrive. Their excitement and enthusiasm for our partnership with William D. Kelley reaffirmed the importance of creating spaces where families feel supported and valued A special thank you goes out to Ms. Ruth, the school counselor, whose ongoing collaboration and presence at the event helped make it a success. Her commitment to the students and families at William D. Kelley continues to be an invaluable part of our work. This pizza party was just the beginning. As we continue to grow our presence at William D. Kelley, we look forward to more opportunities to build trust, celebrate our youth, and create lasting connections that will support them on their journey to success.
