Chief of Staff at North10, Philadelphia

Avarisse Crawford is a nonprofit executive and strategist dedicated to building equitable systems that allow children, families, and communities to thrive. She currently serves as Chief of Staff at North10, Philadelphia, a $5M community development organization advancing education, health, and economic mobility in North Philadelphia’s Hunting Park–East Tioga neighborhoods. In this role, she leads strategic planning, performance management, and governance initiatives while overseeing a portfolio of 20+ grants and organization-wide staff development.

Avarisse is also the founder of Avarisse Monica Consulting, advising nonprofit leaders serving BIPOC communities. Previously, she served as Chief of Staff at the East Harlem Tutorial Program, co-leading a five-year strategic plan and closing a $70M real estate project to expand educational access.

A North Philadelphia native and Mt. Airy resident, Avarisse holds a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Certificate in Social Impact Management and Leadership from the Institute for Nonprofit Practice.
