Rev. Kimberly Jones is a native of Philadelphia with a passion to serve its citizens by connecting them to resources that positively change and profoundly impact their well-being. She has a particular affinity for young people and has worked in youth development for most of her career.
Kimberly serves as Board Vice- President for Schools with International Programs of Excellence (SWIPE), is an Associate Minister and youth leader in her church and for the last 25 years has worked in leadership at a local private school.
During the last 8 of her 25-year tenure Rev. Jones has successfully held the position of Admissions Director over multiple campus locations and Senior Leadership member. She has experience in board reporting and presentations, developing and implementing marketing and recruitment strategies, cultivating partnerships and relationships with families as well as other stakeholders and she has created and implemented procedures and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness; always striving to provide excellent customer care to families. Additionally, Rev. Jones has provided professional development to faculty and staff as the lead trainer in anti-racism awareness, helping to create a more equitable environment for students and employees and she has some HR experience helping to prepare her for this new role. Rev. Jones takes a comprehensive and systematic approach to her work and is results-driven, while motivating those around her with her positive and fun loving spirit. She enjoys family time, loves to travel with her husband, spend time with her 7 grandchildren and watch Philadelphia Eagles football.
Kimberly earned her Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Eastern University graduating Magna Cum Laude, her Masters in Business Administration finishing with a 3.9 gpa and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Ministry degree at Andersonville Theological Seminary. She is excited to be a part of the launch of Friends of the Children in Philadelphia as she desires to create access to resources that will help to end generational poverty and improve mental and behavioral health challenges in youth. Kimberly believes that investing in our youth is a non-negotiable; when young people win today, we as a community are victorious in our tomorrows since they are our future leaders.
